CARE
here you’ll find information on my before and after care for tattoos
P R E P A R A T I O N
-eat a decent meal before your appointment, it helps balance blood sugar which is important to keep level during a tattoo
-you are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks, especially a good idea for long sessions.
-avoid alcohol leading up to your appointment
-getting plenty of rest and avoiding caffeine will help you sit more comfortably
-wear appropriate clothing, such as shorts for a leg tattoo, sleeveless shirts for an arm, etc. if you are unsure don’t hesitate to ask
-be aware of your personal hygiene prior to coming in
-avoid getting sunburn on the area that we will be working on
-keep the area you are going to be having tattooed moisturized leading up to your appointment
-do not shave the area before arriving
Feel free to bring a pillow or comfort item including anything to help entertain yourself during long sessions.
Headphones are highly suggested, tablets to watch movies etc. Avoid bringing anything that will involve any movement.
You may want bring a friend, especially for your first tattoo but limit the guests to one person.
longer sessions I suggest to come alone because guests often get bored and can become distracting.

The healing process is incredibly important, I have listed my suggested aftercare routine
-leave bandage on for around 3 hours after your appointment unless suggested otherwise
-once you remove the bandage wash with a mild antibacterial soap. be sure to clean all the ink and plasma/blood from your skin
-pat dry with a clean paper towel
-apply thin layers of coconut oil (approved ointment) 2-3 times daily after washing the new tattoo, switching to unscented lotion once the area is no longer sore, around 2-3 days
Be sure to keep your new tattoo moisturized, be cautious not to over moisturize.
A full heal takes an average of two weeks. Do not peel, pick, or scratch your tattoo during the healing process.
Avoid swimming or soaking/submerging the area in any type of water, pools, baths, hot tubs etc. while the skin is still open. It is okay to shower.Avoid working out for about a week.
You should always protect your tattoos from the sun, old and new.
